Affiliations/Residencies/Projects: I am the founder of my collective, Neptune7, which currently is a rave series that prioritizes showcasing QTIBIPOC artists who share a mutual affinity for DnB club genres such as : Jungle, Dub, UKG, breakbeat and Footwork in Vancouver,BC. Currently, I am in the process of launching my monthly radio show / record label, Neptune7 Records in the fall at Bside Radio which can be streamed on Twitch.
My earnest intention with this project, Neptune7, is to create innovative events which blend rave culture with holistic medicine. (I’m currently in college studying Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine with the goal of becoming a registered acupuncturist) In my free time I am learning how to use various flow arts props and learning the art of fire performance. My studies and hobbies have played a tremendous role in driving my passion to creating artistic spaces which incorporate holistic modalities of healing with movement, dance and rave culture as these spaces are all sites of catharsis and wellness.

❁ Ugandan LGBTQ Emergency Fund
In March 2023, Ugandan MP’s passed a bill imposing the death penalty for homosexuality. In the run up to the bill’s passing, a new wave of anti-gay animus had taken hold. In February, alone more than 110 LGBTQ Ugandans reported incidents including arrests, sexual violence, evictions and public undressing to advocacy group SMUG. The bill further puts LGBTQ people at risk by threatening landlords with imprisonment.
This fundraiser is run by a group of LGBTQ Ugandans and UK allies from the arts, electronic music and activist community who are rallying to directly support at-risk individuals. The fund acquired will go directly to those affected, paying for costs such as
– Bail for LGBTQ people inprisoned
– Relocating to a safer area
– Emergency accommodation costs
– Legal and medical fees
– Visa and transportation costs for those leaving the country
❁ Kílala Lelum (Urban Indigenous Health and Healing Cooperative) is a health center borne out a desire to partner Indigenous Elders with group an experience group of inner-city physicians, nurses and allied health professionals to go beyond the traditional clinical care by providing physical, mental, emotional and spiritual care to Indigenous communities within Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Kílala Lelum is based on a holistic and culturally-based health center which provides dignified care which is Indigenous-focused and Elder-led and trauma-informed.
