Influences: I grew up raving to Drum n’ Bass and this is the genre I first learnt to mix when I was 18 so this influences my style a lot. I also grew up listening to a lot of Hip Hop, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and this influences a lot of the music I play in my radio show, Tender Tokens. To be honest a lot of influences are from friends! Esposito, Darwin re:ni, Elke and the Reef party crew always give me so much life and inspiration.
Affiliations/Residencies/Projects: On Refuge Worldwide I have a show called Tender Tokens which is focussed more on music for your wellbeing. This includes usually downtempo, hip-hop & ambient but also some dance music, garage, breaks and DnB because dance music is also good for your wellbeing! The show is usually bi-monthly and sometimes I also invite guests.
Together with a friend we run an Event series called Double Trouble here in Berlin which is an art exhibition/party hybrid which focusses more on bass music and there I am a resident. We aim to showcase Berlins finest femme talent regardless of starting out or expert. The event series is just starting out but so far is a success and we can’t wait for our three events coming up this year!
I am also in a DJ Duo with another friend, Elke & Claire (Future Friends). We used to do a Radio show together on Radio80000 but now we are sticking to the dance floor rather than the airwaves and have fun doing so!
